Forest School We have been able to provide funding for the training of two leaders and one assistant for a permanent Forest School. Children from local schools have already been able to experience the woodland and learn in an outdoor setting through games and activities such as constructing shelters, observing and identifying insects, plants, birds etc. led by Martin Paine our Forest School Leader. We
have been able to fund more sessions, using some of the proceeds of timber Tir Coed have also funded sessions for Young Carers using the Forest School facilities. A recent session, led by Tony Eames (Earth Encounters), was featured on Radio 4's Open Country programme. |
